About the Journal

Agora Journal (https://revistaagora.fevp.gob.ve/) is a biannual publication dedicated to disseminating research, including scientific articles, case studies, academic essays, technical notes, reflections, and proposals related to planning as an academic discipline and a transformative practice for society. Its name refers to a common and open space for encounter, deliberation, and collective construction, which here materializes as a platform for critical debate and the production of specialized knowledge in planning, constantly promoting life, dignity, equity, and sustainability.

The thematic orientations are based on the research lines of the Venezuelan School of Planning Foundation, which establish a framework for academic and practical contributions. These lines are structured around the following axes:

• International geopolitics, governance, anti-imperialism, and Bolivarian thought for planning.

• Ecosocialist planning of territory, energy, and urban systems.

• Planning, Marxist economics, drivers of development, and production chains.

• Knowledge production, and the critical epistemology for planning.

• Society, diversity, cultural identity, and planning in connection with territories from the perspectives of gender, ethnicity, and social classes.
